Al Bart's story didn't start in 1997 — it started decades earlier. Growing up in the 1960s, Al was the kind of kid who couldn't leave a broken thing alone. If something needed fixing, he fixed it. That instinct turned into a passion, and that passion turned into a trade.
For years, Al worked weekends and evenings — fitting jobs in around his regular schedule, building his skills one project at a time. Word spread the way it always does when the work is good: neighbor to neighbor, referral by referral. By 1997, demand was steady enough that Al Bart Home Improvement became official.
Nearly 30 years later, nothing fundamental has changed. This is still a family business, built on handshakes and honest work. Most of our customers come from referrals — and many have been with us for decades. Al's son, Steve Barto, now manages every project personally — making sure each job meets the standard his father set from the very beginning.
